Engineering Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Team Leader to head a small, high‑performing engineering group in Luxembourg while working fully remotely. The role blends people leadership with hands‑on development, allowing you to shape team dynamics, drive product delivery, and pioneer AI‑driven engineering workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage 3‑5 engineers, overseeing hiring, onboarding, performance, and career growth.
• Contribute directly to product development and technical decision‑making.
• Plan, prioritize, and execute team work to ensure efficient delivery of high‑quality software.
• Act as the primary spokesperson for the team, aligning with product and business stakeholders.
• Design and implement modern AI‑enabled workflows, automation, and agentic systems to accelerate delivery.
• Introduce testing, evaluation, and guardrails to maintain reliability and security.
• Collaborate across functions to improve engineering processes and system design.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing 2‑5 engineers with responsibility for performance and delivery.
• Strong backend engineering background with production‑grade systems experience.
• Track record of shipping secure, scalable, and reliable software in complex environments.
• Demonstrated ability to design or adopt automation and workflow orchestration solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and a leadership mindset.
