Engineer, Satellite Platform Engineering

About the role

The Engineer, Satellite Platform Engineering joins an EU‑US team that supports the full satellite lifecycle, from procurement through launch, on‑orbit operations and re‑orbit. You will ensure high service availability by applying specialised knowledge of avionics, attitude control, propulsion, power and thermal systems.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor telemetry data, evaluate satellite health, trend against models and forecast performance changes.
• Provide engineering support for satellite requirement definitions, proposal evaluations and design analysis.
• Define satellite integration requirements, create test plans, conduct acceptance tests and resolve issues.
• Support launch activities, including mission design reviews and post‑launch orbit‑raising phases.
• Develop, validate and maintain operational procedures, tools and automation processes.
• Offer technical advice to internal teams and satellite users on capabilities and performance.
• Perform engineering analysis, modelling and parameter adjustments to meet new business needs.
• Prepare on‑orbit performance reports for internal and external customers.
• Participate in rotating on‑call duties, including weekend and emergency support, with possible travel to the control centre.
