Electrical System Engineer – Spacecraft Avionics

About the role
ALTEN is seeking an Electrical System Engineer to support the development of spacecraft electrical systems for client projects in Luxembourg. You will work across the full mission lifecycle, from concept definition to in‑orbit commissioning, within a high‑technology, international environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain avionics architecture and system‑level integration for space missions.
- Perform requirements engineering, including analysis and flow‑down/up of electrical and interface requirements.
- Define validation, verification and test plans for electrical subsystems and support integration and testing activities.
- Manage spacecraft budgets, parametric models, and subcontractor deliverables.
- Participate in technical reviews such as PDR and CDR, and contribute to AIV/T planning.
- Write and support RFPs for avionics and power‑electronics units.
- Generate technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Required profile
- BSc or MSc in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience in the aerospace industry.
- Experience with systems engineering, avionics, data handling or power electronics.
- Familiarity with space standards (ECSS, MIL) and major technical reviews.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Fluent English; French (B2) is a plus.
