Electrical Engineer – Ironmaking & Green Steel Projects

About the role
You will join the EIC department of Paul Wurth, working in an agile, interdisciplinary team on worldwide projects for the iron‑making industry and emerging green‑steel technologies. The role combines independent technical work with strong communication and analytical thinking.
Key responsibilities
- Handle technical projects from offer stage through to completion and commissioning.
- Design electric and hydraulic control systems for blast furnace equipment.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and discussions with customers.
- Coordinate equipment manufacturing with suppliers, conduct quality control and acceptance tests on‑site.
- Collaborate across engineering and other departments.
- Provide on‑site support during equipment commissioning and train operating personnel.
Required profile
- Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience (single line diagrams, automation layout, supplier specifications, instrumentation).
- Proven ability to create offers and execute projects up to on‑site commissioning.
- Solution‑oriented, pragmatic approach focused on customer needs.
- Willingness to travel worldwide and work flexibly.
- Fluent in English and German; French is a plus.
