Electrical Engineer – Ironmaking & Green Steel Projects

About the role

Join the EIC department of Paul Wurth and work in an agile, interdisciplinary team on worldwide projects for the iron‑making industry and emerging green‑steel technologies. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of electric and hydraulic control systems, from concept to on‑site commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Handle technical projects from the offer stage through to completion.
• Design electric and hydraulic control systems for blast furnace equipment.
• Prepare technical presentations and discuss solutions with customers.
• Coordinate equipment manufacturing with suppliers, conduct quality control and acceptance tests.
• Collaborate across engineering and other disciplines.
• Provide on‑site support during commissioning and train operating personnel.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience (single‑line diagrams, automation layout, supplier specifications, instrumentation).
• Proven ability to create offers and execute projects up to on‑site commissioning.
• Solution‑oriented, pragmatic, and customer‑focused.
• Willingness to travel worldwide.
• Fluent in English and German; French is a plus.
