EHS Program Manager – Workplace Health & Safety

About the role

Join a global safety team to protect the people who power Amazon’s worldwide operations. As an EHS Program Manager you will act as a trusted safety partner to senior regional leaders, translating frontline insights into impactful safety programs for IT teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive safety programs from inception through global implementation, delivering measurable risk‑reduction outcomes.
• Lead end‑to‑end safety projects, defining actions, owners, and timelines.
• Author narrative papers and business reviews for senior leadership, communicating safety priorities and investment recommendations.
• Develop scalable solutions for complex safety challenges such as work at heights, hazardous energy, and battery safety.
• Conduct regular site visits to distribution centers, sortation facilities, and delivery stations to gather frontline feedback and identify improvement opportunities.
• Update regional and global safety standards, protocols, and training materials based on site insights.
• Lead comprehensive incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Operations, Engineering, HR, and other teams to scale successful initiatives.
• Monitor safety metrics, analyze trends, and present data‑driven recommendations to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Demonstrated passion for safety and experience managing safety programs at scale.
• Proven ability to lead incident investigations and develop corrective actions.
• Strong communication skills for influencing senior leaders and presenting findings.
• Willingness to travel for site visits and engage directly with frontline technicians.
