Doctoral Researcher in Research Literacy and Pedagogy

About the role

The University of Luxembourg seeks a motivated doctoral researcher to lead an original project on research literacy and pedagogy. The role combines independent research, scholarly dissemination, and teaching contributions within a multilingual, interdisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and conduct a PhD‑level research project examining how university students develop research understanding and skills.
• Produce scientific publications and present findings at national and international conferences.
• Participate in research seminars, doctoral training activities, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
• Assist in teaching Bachelor‑level courses on qualitative research methods.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in educational sciences, higher education studies, sociology of education, psychology of education, or a related field.
• Strong interest in higher‑education studies, research literacy, and the pedagogy of research.
• Motivation for academic research and scientific collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and within an international research team.
• At least B2‑level proficiency in the language of the thesis.
