Division Risk Officer – EMEA

About the role

The Division Risk Officer – EMEA leads the second‑line risk oversight for FM’s entities across the region. Reporting to senior executive management, the role is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the EMEA Risk Management Framework (RMF) to protect the organisation’s assets and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, evolve and embed the EMEA RMF covering identification, measurement, monitoring, reporting and mitigation of material risks.
• Oversee risk management activities in FMIE‑licensed territories (EEA, Switzerland, United Kingdom) and direct risk oversight in other EMEA locations.
• Chair the FMIE Risk Management Committee and act as Risk Management Key Function Holder for the Luxembourg Insurance Carrier.
• Provide timely risk reporting to the Board of Directors, executive teams and regulators.
• Ensure compliance with all compulsory regulatory standards and manage internal and external audits.
• Promote a strong risk culture throughout the region and integrate risk considerations into business strategy.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in risk management within the insurance or financial services sector.
• Deep understanding of EMEA regulatory environment, including EHS requirements.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset with capacity to manage both strategic and detailed risk issues.
