Data Scientist I – AI Operations Integration

About the role

As a Data Scientist I on Amazon’s AI Operations Integration team, you will tackle ambiguous, high‑impact problems that blend Large Language Models, Generative AI and predictive analytics. You will help shape AI‑enabled operational solutions that improve how Amazon’s global operations function.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and select appropriate data‑science methods—including machine learning, statistical modeling, NLP and LLM‑based techniques—to solve complex operational challenges.
• Design and deliver end‑to‑end data‑science solutions that model interactions among software systems, data pipelines and operational processes.
• Collaborate with operations business teams to translate vague needs into well‑defined problem statements and ensure solutions are grounded in real‑world context.
• Partner with software engineers, AI/ML specialists and technical program managers to integrate models into existing operational systems.
• Contribute to strategic planning, advise senior leadership on AI investment priorities and help define the overall data‑science strategy.
