Data Engineer – Cloud & Databricks Specialist

About the role

You will join the Data Factory within the Central Data Office of PwC Luxembourg, a multidisciplinary team that designs and operates the firm’s core data ingestion and integration platforms. The role focuses on building and maintaining robust data pipelines on Databricks, ensuring trusted data is available for analytics and decision‑making across the firm.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines on Databricks to ingest and transform data from diverse sources.
• Evolve and optimise data processing architectures for performance and scalability.
• Ensure high standards of data quality, monitoring and availability in production environments.
• Modernise and migrate existing pipelines and tools to cloud‑native solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve complex data issues with sustainable solutions.
• Collaborate with analysts, IT and business teams to deliver trusted data outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data engineering with strong hands‑on Databricks expertise.
• Proficient in Python and/or .NET and advanced SQL for data processing.
• Experience working in Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
• Professional proficiency in English (C1) and French (C1).
• Critical thinking, clear communication and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Integrity and commitment to handling confidential information responsibly.
