Communications System Engineer – NATO Support Agency

About the role
The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) seeks a Communications System Engineer to lead system‑of‑systems development for Command and Control (C2) and surveillance solutions. The role involves applying systems engineering principles to design, develop, test and accept communication products and large‑scale CIS architectures.
Key responsibilities
- Perform systems engineering activities for communication systems and products, from concept through acceptance.
- Develop and integrate large‑scale system‑of‑systems for CIS, ensuring compliance with architecture frameworks.
- Evaluate emerging technologies such as advanced encryption, cybersecurity, cloud services, automation and distributed data storage.
- Produce clear technical reports and present findings to international military and civilian stakeholders.
- Collaborate with multinational teams to meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality.
Required profile
- University degree in Electrical & Electronics, Telecommunications, Communication & Information Systems, Computer Science or a related engineering field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in systems engineering for communication systems and large‑scale CIS projects.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with ability to negotiate and present persuasively.
- Capacity to work under pressure, manage time effectively and cooperate with senior staff from diverse backgrounds.
