Communications Specialist

About the role

ispace Europe is looking for a strategic, creative, and execution‑oriented Communications Specialist to strengthen the company’s market presence across EMEA and contribute to the global narrative. Reporting to the EU Business Director, you will shape communications that align with business priorities and support the mission of building a sustainable lunar economy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and evolve an overarching communications strategy in partnership with the regional CEO, EU Business Director and government affairs team.
• Create and execute integrated media, social media and PR campaigns, including press releases and content creation, to boost visibility and stakeholder engagement.
• Design influence campaigns targeting European institutions, space agencies, industry partners, investors and media.
• Coordinate participation in conferences and events, managing booth materials and speaking opportunities.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in strategic or corporate communications, preferably in commercial space, aerospace, defence or deep‑tech.
• Proven track record in communication strategy, media relations and integrated communications.
• Experience working with European space institutions or agencies is a strong advantage.
• Data‑driven approach to measuring communication performance.

Required skills

• Excellent writing and storytelling ability for complex technical and commercial topics.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration across functions and external agencies.
• Fluent in English; additional European language or Japanese is a plus.
• Highly organized, proactive and able to thrive in a fast‑paced international environment.
