Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

The Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer will design, build, and enhance both cloud and on‑premises infrastructure, delivering secure, scalable, high‑performing platforms that support business applications and IT services. The role drives modernization initiatives, automation, and contributes to cloud architecture and hybrid infrastructure solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure (compute, storage, networking, identity).
• Build and optimise Infrastructure‑as‑Code deployments using Terraform, Bicep, ARM, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Contribute to cloud governance frameworks, including policies, tagging, RBAC, and FinOps.
• Support cloud migration and modernisation projects.
• Architect and maintain hybrid infrastructure (on‑premise + cloud).
• Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware and Citrix.
• Implement and maintain networks, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, DHCP, VPNs and connectivity.
• Administer Windows and Linux servers and core services.
• Build automation for deployments, configuration and operations using PowerShell, Bash or Python.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure services.
• Improve delivery efficiency through automation and reusable templates.
• Implement cloud and on‑prem security controls, patching and hardening.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing, building and maintaining cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
• Strong background in automation, Infrastructure‑as‑Code and DevOps practices.
