Audit Manager – Internal Audit (Luxembourg)

About the role

HSBC is looking for an Audit Manager to join its Internal Audit function in Luxembourg. You will report to the Head of Internal Audit and be responsible for delivering audit assignments that support the bank’s risk management and compliance objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and deliver audit projects in line with the annual audit plan, ensuring timelines, standards, methodology and budget are met.
• Identify emerging risks and key themes through continuous monitoring, data analytics and agile audit tools.
• Monitor regulatory changes and internal policy updates, ensuring proper application across the business.
• Prepare clear, objective audit deliverables and organise audit meetings, documenting minutes and follow‑up actions.
• Validate the closure of audit issues and support the production of final audit reports.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in financial services, consultancy or external audit.
• Understanding of regulatory environments and product knowledge within banking.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in business, accounting, mathematics or social sciences.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CISA, CFE, ACAMS or a commitment to obtain one.
• Fluency in English and French.
