Associate VAT Consulting

About the role

You will join the VAT Consulting team within PwC's Tax Consulting department, working alongside around 20 specialists who serve a diverse client portfolio across industries. The role offers exposure to complex VAT matters and collaboration with colleagues in Luxembourg and the wider PwC network.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse VAT implications of client transactions and business operations across sectors.
• Support the design and review of VAT‑efficient structures for events such as set‑ups, mergers, and product launches.
• Prepare and review VAT compliance elements, ensuring accuracy and regulatory alignment.
• Collaborate with international PwC teams to deliver coordinated advice for cross‑border clients.
• Translate technical VAT rules into clear recommendations for client discussions.
• Work with other tax and advisory teams on indirect tax topics, including customs duties and insurance premium tax.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or in progress) in Tax Law, or a degree in Economics with a major in Tax Law.
• Strong interest in VAT and indirect tax matters.
• Fluent in French (C1) and English (C1).
• Ability to structure information clearly and apply logical reasoning.
• Integrity, confidentiality, and high ethical standards.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel: proficient / independent use.
