Asset Management Trainee – Risk, Compliance & Legal

About the role

We are looking for a motivated trainee to support our Asset Management, Risk, Compliance and Legal teams at Global Funds Management in Luxembourg. The 6‑month placement is designed for a university student (Master level) under a school/university convention and offers hands‑on exposure to fund operations and regulatory processes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in creating and reviewing control, performance and ad‑hoc reports.
• Support daily operations such as market and fund data collection, daily controls and preparation of management approvals.
• Help organise board, management and investment committee meetings.
• Contribute to risk‑management and compliance activities, including the Compliance Monitoring Plan.
• Support AML/KYC processes and other compliance controls.
• Review and update investment fund procedures and operation manuals.
• Participate in project work and attend relevant meetings.

Required profile

• Master‑level studies in Finance or Law with a school/university convention.
• Interest or basic knowledge of asset management, compliance and investment funds.
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Team player with enthusiasm.
• Good command of English.

• Proficiency in MS Office.
