AI & Data Engineer – Build AI Products for Construction

About the role

As an AI & Data Engineer at SECO Group you will help create the next generation of data‑driven AI products for the construction sector. Working in a startup‑mindset environment you will move from research and data collection to building AI pipelines and client‑facing applications that have a tangible impact on the industry.

Key responsibilities

• Research and develop new AI use cases for construction, inspection, risk management and infrastructure.
• Identify, collect, clean and structure large, heterogeneous data sets from documents, images, sensors, geospatial sources and business systems.
• Design, build and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines that deliver high‑quality datasets for AI models.
• Support AI model integration by preparing data foundations, evaluating outputs and improving performance.
• Develop modern web applications using JavaScript, React and Python for client‑facing products.
• Rapidly prototype concepts, test with users and industrialise successful solutions.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with business experts, engineers, inspectors and external partners.

Required profile

• Strong experience in software development with Python and/or JavaScript.
• Good knowledge of React and modern web application development.
• Proven data‑engineering background, especially building pipelines and handling large data volumes.
• Interest or experience in AI/ML, generative AI, computer vision, document intelligence or predictive analytics.
• Ability to work with complex, heterogeneous data sources.
• Entrepreneurial, autonomous and proactive mindset suited to a fast‑moving environment.
