Account Manager – Private Banking (UK)

About the role

HSBC is seeking an Account Manager to join its private banking team in Luxembourg. The role focuses on serving ultra‑high‑net‑worth (U/HNW) clients from the UK, handling account opening, periodic reviews, and trade order execution while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for U/HNW individual clients, maintaining strong commercial relationships.
• Manage end‑to‑end account opening processes and conduct regular account reviews.
• Capture, process, and follow up on client trade orders within the private banking system.
• Monitor client activities such as transfers, deposits, loans, and time‑maturity events.
• Prepare accurate telephonic and visit reports for each client interaction.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in the private banking industry, preferably with U/HNW clients.
• Good understanding of private banking products and services.
• Strong customer‑service mindset and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proven administrative rigor with high accuracy and thoroughness.
• Excellent time‑management skills, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
