Account Manager Intern – Wholesale Banking Operations

About the role

ING Luxembourg is looking for an Account Manager Intern for its Wholesale Banking Operations (COO) team, starting in September or October 2026 for at least 6 months. Only candidates who can provide a valid school convention will be considered.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of professional clients (financial institutions, large corporates, funds) together with the Account Managers and Relationship Managers.
• Provide daily banking support to clients: analysis, data management, client events, research, onboarding of new clients, payment follow-up, and responding to client needs by phone and email.
• Monitor client transactions (KYT) and ensure the safe handling of client data.
• Collaborate with the team and other departments to meet client needs, respect and improve processes, and identify sales leads for cross-selling products such as electronic banking and foreign exchange.

Required profile

• Studies in Economics or Banking.
• Fluency in French and English is mandatory.
• Team spirit, risk-management orientation, high level of communication, commercial skills and good administrative organisation.
• Autonomy, proactivity, adaptability, solution-orientation and proficiency in computer and office automation tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, PowerPoint).
