VP, Business Development

About the role

The Vice President of Business Development will lead the identification and acquisition of new community‑based products and services that drive CHAMP’s growth ambitions. Based in Europe, the role combines strategic partnership management with hands‑on sales execution across the global air cargo market.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and onboard large freight forwarders and other prospective customers within the air cargo community.
• Manage CHAMP’s partnership portfolio, including pricing strategy, contract negotiations, service‑level monitoring and renegotiations.
• Support targeted acquisitions aligned with the CHAMP 2030 strategy.
• Collaborate with Product Solutions, Marketing, Sales, Service Delivery and Technology Services to shape market value propositions for existing and upcoming services.
• Prepare high‑value proposals, presentations and bid management materials for customers and prospects.
• Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with global air freight industry stakeholders.
• Gather market intelligence to meet sales objectives and keep CHAMP’s offerings competitive.
• Represent CHAMP at industry events, fairs and customer forums.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of digital transformation trends in logistics and supply‑chain management, especially air freight processes.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining strategic C‑level relationships.
• Experience driving customer acquisition, partnership development and retention strategies in the air freight sector.
