Trainee – Business Planning (5‑month internship)

About the role
The Business Planning Unit of the European Investment Fund is looking for a motivated trainee to join its Resource Planning Division in Luxembourg for a five‑month period starting September 2026. Working under the guidance of senior team members, you will support the development and monitoring of the EIF Corporate Operational Plan (COP) and the Deal Allocation Committee (DAC) process.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the design, enhancement and maintenance of tools and dashboards that support COP planning and DAC execution.
- Develop and refine data visualisations and reporting formats for internal stakeholders, covering deployment, fundraising, policy reach and processing times.
- Prepare quantitative analyses and presentation materials for EIF management and governance bodies.
- Contribute to the automation of internal processes to improve operational efficiency and transparency.
Required profile
- Enthusiastic trainee willing to work under the guidance of senior staff.
- Strong analytical mindset with interest in finance and investment operations.
