Technical Officer – IT Applications

About the role

The Technical Officer (IT Applications) will support the design, integration, testing and evolution of information systems within a multi‑user environment for the NATO Support and Procurement Agency. The role combines hands‑on engineering with contract management and requires fluency in English.

Key responsibilities

• Perform integration and testing of heterogeneous IT systems.
• Apply Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) concepts to system design, supply chain, maintenance and configuration management.
• Develop and maintain information systems architecture, functional and technical analyses.
• Conduct software engineering activities including coding, code review and adherence to modern engineering practices.
• Prepare Statements of Work (SOWs) for IT services and evaluate contractor technical proposals.
• Monitor contractor performance and manage technical acceptance of deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience (minimum 6 years progressive experience).
• At least 2 years of post‑related experience in integration and testing in a multi‑user environment.
• Thorough knowledge of ILS and practical experience applying its concepts.
• Fluency in English; working knowledge of French is desirable.
