Tax Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Tax Officer to join Utmost International’s Luxembourg team, supporting the operational tax reporting obligations of our life‑insurance business. The role involves ensuring accurate and timely tax filings, liaising with fiscal representatives and contributing to tax‑related projects.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure compliance with global tax reporting obligations related to the company’s life‑insurance activities.
• Collaborate with business units to prepare and submit tax reports accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain communication with the network of fiscal representatives and monitor their performance regularly.
• Support governance of tax reporting in partnership with wealth‑structuring experts.
• Provide advice, guidance and recommendations on tax reporting processes, potential developments and related issues.
• Participate in, and occasionally coordinate, projects aimed at improving internal tax reporting processes.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or a related field, preferably with a tax specialization.
• 3‑5 years of experience in operational tax or tax reporting, ideally within a Big 4 or comparable firm.
• Ability to work on cross‑border tax matters and handle multiple assignments under tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and resilience.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English; additional French or German is a plus.
