System Engineer – Windows Environment

About the role

We are looking for an experienced System Engineer to maintain and optimise our Windows‑based IT infrastructure. You will manage servers, workstations, Active Directory, virtualisation platforms and cloud‑hybrid solutions, ensuring high availability, security and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support Windows Server and workstation environments.
• Manage Active Directory services, including user accounts, groups and permissions.
• Deploy, monitor and troubleshoot Windows OS updates, security patches and hot‑fixes.
• Provision, configure and maintain VMware virtual machines and related infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance and implement optimisation measures.
• Analyse and resolve complex infrastructure, system and network incidents.
• Handle system upgrades, migrations and change‑management activities.
• Support cloud‑based and hybrid services, primarily Microsoft Azure.
• Participate in backup, disaster‑recovery and business‑continuity processes.
• Process incidents, service requests and problems through the ticketing system while meeting SLA targets.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures and operational guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in system engineering or a similar infrastructure role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, workstation environments and Active Directory.
• Proven experience with VMware virtualization.
• Familiarity with cloud/hybrid environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
