Software Engineer – Tech Lead

About the role

Luxtrust is seeking a motivated Software Engineer – Tech Lead to join its permanent team in Capellen, Luxembourg. The role combines hands‑on development with architectural leadership, ensuring high‑quality, secure digital identity solutions for international clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core software components.
• Manage source code repositories and integrate changes into the CI/CD delivery pipeline.
• Implement backlog items, including user stories and bug fixes.
• Write and maintain unit and module tests; perform thorough testing and analysis of issues.
• Document code and produce work‑log reports for project managers.
• Provide Level‑3 help‑desk support and problem management.
• Perform application performance tuning and prevent technical debt growth.
• Handle release packaging, branching strategies, and release procedures.
• Contribute to software architecture design, relational database modeling, and fine‑tuning.
• Present architecture decisions in forums and support change‑management processes.
• Prepare technical sections of project charters and implementation plans, including estimations.
• Conduct code reviews and support security audits, pentests, and external code reviews.
• Coach junior engineers and act as technical reference for the Service Manager.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• Fluent in French and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset, rigorous documentation habits, and a quality‑first attitude.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within agile teams.
• Proactive identification of potential blockers and commitment to client service.
