Senior Tax Compliance – Work Closely With Management

About the role

We are supporting a long‑established Luxembourg fiduciary in hiring a Senior Tax Officer to strengthen its Tax department. The role combines technical tax expertise with a leadership function, working closely with management and accounting teams to ensure high‑quality tax compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Review corporate tax and VAT returns prepared by accounting teams, ensuring compliance with Luxembourg legislation and internal standards.
• Act as a technical reference, providing guidance on complex tax matters and sharing expertise across the department.
• Collaborate with the Head of Tax on challenging client files, tax analyses, and implementation of best practices.
• Monitor legislative developments and assess their impact on clients and internal procedures.
• Assist in preparing tax advice and resolving complex issues related to SOPARFIs, holdings, and other commercial or financial entities.
• Maintain relationships with tax authorities and external stakeholders as required.

Required profile

• 4‑8 years of experience in Luxembourg taxation, preferably within a fiduciary or corporate service provider.
• Strong knowledge of Luxembourg corporate tax, VAT, and transfer pricing, especially for commercial companies, SOPARFIs, and holdings.
• Fluent in French and English; German is a significant advantage.
• Proven ability to review work of others, identify technical issues, and provide constructive guidance.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
