Senior Storage and Backup Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Storage and Backup Administrator to join our Global IT Operations team. The role is responsible for designing, implementing, administering, optimizing and supporting our enterprise storage and backup environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure and maintain SAN, NAS and object storage systems (Dell PowerFlex, Dell Unity, Dell Data Domain, Synology).
• Perform storage provisioning, capacity planning, performance tuning and lifecycle management.
• Implement replication, snapshots, deduplication, compression and tiering strategies.
• Administer backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, Azure Backup, AWS Backup) and develop backup, retention and recovery policies.
• Monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot issues, conduct validation and recovery testing, and lead disaster‑recovery drills to meet RPO/RTO targets.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements and participate in audits and risk assessments.
• Provide Level 3 support for storage and backup incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and coordinate with vendors.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams and operational procedures; mentor junior administrators.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience administering enterprise storage and backup environments.
• Proven experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V) and Windows/Linux servers.
