Data Engineer - Group Business Intelligence

About the role

Luxaviation Group is looking for a qualified candidate to join our Group Business Intelligence team in the role of Data Engineer, based at our headquarter offices in Luxembourg. As a Data Engineer, you will contribute to the development of the Group's data and analytics capabilities, enabling data‑driven decision‑making across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and manage ETL/ELT processes to move data from multiple sources into data warehouses.
• Build, schedule and monitor data pipelines in Python, orchestrated with Apache Airflow.
• Migrate existing tool‑based ETL jobs to code‑based, version‑controlled pipelines.
• Create and maintain BI models (star schemas, snowflakes) in the data warehouse.
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring solutions and optimise database performance.
• Collaborate with business users to capture requirements and document business rules.
• Support data visualisation and reporting tools, guiding responsible use of AI features.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering, designing ETL and data‑warehouse solutions.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT principles, data modelling and data‑warehousing concepts.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data automation and scripting.
• Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
