Senior Manager Internal Audit

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our Internal Audit function, strengthening the third line of defense for a leading fund and corporate services provider. You will work closely with the Group Head of Internal Audit to design, implement and continuously improve a robust audit framework.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Group Head of Internal Audit in developing governance documentation, processes and methodologies.
• Contribute to the multi‑year Internal Audit Plan, aligning it with emerging business risks.
• Plan, execute and document risk‑based audit engagements from scoping through reporting.
• Deliver clear, evidence‑based audit opinions on governance, risk management and internal controls.
• Present audit findings to senior stakeholders, including Boards and Risk Committees.
• Maintain regular communication with auditees to ensure transparency on audit progress.
• Participate in ad‑hoc investigations and thematic reviews as required.
• Support recruitment, development and performance management of the Internal Audit team.
• Allocate resources effectively across assignments based on expertise and priorities.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and provide guidance on audit processes.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of experience in internal audit, risk, compliance or control functions, preferably within asset management or financial services.
• Strong expertise in risk assessment methodologies, control design and governance framework evaluation.
• Proven ability to design and implement effective internal control frameworks in complex organisations.
• Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CIA, CPA) or a related degree.
• Demonstrated experience leading audit engagements and managing teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Strong organisational abilities with capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
