Senior Financial Analyst – EU Central Finance

About the role

Amazon’s EU Central Finance team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to own recurring financial mechanisms that keep senior leadership informed and drive business performance. This high‑visibility role works directly with the Senior Manager and an experienced team to deliver month‑end close reviews, financial narratives, and cross‑functional planning cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and review quantitative data to create reports that drive business improvement and cost reductions.
• Perform root‑cause analysis to uncover core issues using data.
• Assist in developing and implementing policies and programs that enhance competitive position and profitability.
• Own weekly and monthly financial close processes, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and reporting models.
• Collaborate with data source providers and technology teams to ensure decision‑critical data is accurate, automated, and timely.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams for monthly and quarterly financial reviews and lead process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Proven experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data‑driven recommendations that impact business outcomes.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
• Ability to own workstreams end‑to‑end and drive results in a fast‑paced environment.
