Senior Embedded Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a senior embedded software engineer to lead the technical development of advanced hardware and firmware solutions. The role is highly hands‑on, covering the full lifecycle from concept through production.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded systems for end‑user products, from initial concept to deployment.
• Create and validate PCB designs, including schematic capture, layout checks, and hardware bring‑up.
• Develop and maintain low‑level firmware, device drivers, and application code in C and C++.
• Utilise real‑time operating systems (RTOS) for scheduling and performance optimisation.
• Design energy‑efficient, low‑power solutions and integrate communication protocols.
• Manage source control, code reviews, and release processes using Git‑based tools.
• Prepare clear technical documentation and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Troubleshoot and optimise performance at both hardware and software levels while ensuring quality and manufacturability standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in embedded systems development.
• Strong programming skills in C and C++ for embedded platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with RTOS and real‑time embedded systems.
• Proven track record in PCB design and hardware validation.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Expertise in low‑power system design and optimisation.
• Interest in advanced communication technologies and system‑level integration.
