Senior DevOps Engineer – Luxembourg

About the role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a key client in Luxembourg. The role focuses on managing the full lifecycle of change, incident, problem, deployment, and release processes while ensuring smooth operation of enterprise platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Change, Incident, Problem, Deployment, and Release processes.
• Define, implement, and maintain EIB release and deployment procedures.
• Coordinate IT Service Management (ITSM) activities and act as a single point of contact for users.
• Package, document, and support releases in line with EIB policies.
• Provide day‑to‑day operational support and own request/incident resolution.
• Monitor issues, drive follow‑up, and ensure timely resolution.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Produce, review, and maintain operational documentation.
• Support Root Cause Analysis investigations.
• Configure and maintain applications and tools across all technical layers.
• Utilise DevOps toolchains to support CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of DevOps methodologies and release management.
• Experience with ITIL best practices (incident and release management).
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise databases such as Sybase ASE and Oracle.
• Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (Bash, Groovy, Python, Java or equivalents).
• Familiarity with web and middleware technologies (Tomcat, Nginx, Apache, JBoss EAP).
• Experience with version control and DevOps ecosystems (GitHub, Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of enterprise platforms and tools (Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube, Jira, Matomo, Codescene).
• Ability to manage on‑premise enterprise platforms end‑to‑end.
• Strong analytical skills for incident handling, risk assessment, and performance monitoring.
• Clear communication in English (minimum B2 level).
