Senior Ansible Automation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Ansible Automation Engineer on a freelance basis to design and implement automation architecture for our Luxembourg operations. The role will focus on building robust Ansible solutions, managing execution environments, and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement automation architecture using Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) and AWX.
• Develop and maintain Ansible roles, playbooks, and collections.
• Define and enforce code quality and governance standards, including CODEOWNERS.
• Act as a technical reference for automation strategy and best practices.
• Manage execution environments, including container images and dependencies.
• Implement dynamic inventories from CMDB or external tools.
• Contribute to Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and ensure seamless integration.
• Maintain security and compliance, including secrets management and least‑privilege principles.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in Ansible automation and architecture.
• Strong expertise with AAP/AWX environments.
• Advanced knowledge of Python for custom modules and plugins.
• Solid background in Linux/RHEL administration and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with containers and execution environments.
