Senior Administrator Desk Side Services

About the role

HCLTech is seeking a Senior Administrator for Desk Side Services to provide high‑level technical support for desktop computers, peripherals, and related technologies. The role involves diagnosing and resolving unique, non‑recurring issues while ensuring service targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Test, identify, repair, and document end‑user technical issues for desktops, printers, PDAs, and LAN cable drops.
• Provide 1st line IT support and infrastructure administration to the business community.
• Offer on‑site coverage as part of a shift schedule and be available for out‑of‑hours on‑call support.
• Reimage computers, back up and restore settings, and perform system administration tasks.
• Track and prioritize support tickets using ServiceNow, providing status updates.
• Perform asset inventory activities and move equipment for escalated incidents.
• Train staff on hardware and software usage and recommend upgrades for workstations and printers.
• Collaborate with procurement to purchase hardware and software.

Required profile

• Strong analytical abilities to deliver high‑level technical support.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with end users, management, VIPs, and technical staff.
• Flexibility to work in a project‑based environment and adapt to shift schedules.
