Senior Accountant – Multi‑Entity & International

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in an international, multi‑entity environment. The role involves full ownership of the accounting cycle for several group companies, from daily transactions to year‑end closing and tax reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounting cycle for multiple group companies of varying sizes.
• Perform day‑to‑day accounting tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and general ledger entries.
• Prepare and post accruals, deferrals, provisions and other closing entries.
• Conduct regular account reconciliations and ensure ledger accuracy.
• Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly and annual closings, financial statements and tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, tax and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate and supervise external accounting firms for entities not fully managed in‑house.
• Serve as the main point of contact for external accountants, tax advisers, auditors and other service providers.
• Produce monthly and annual financial reports for management and group reporting.
• Support external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
• Contribute to finance projects, identify process improvements and implement practical solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional accounting experience, preferably in an international or multi‑entity setting.
• Strong knowledge of the full accounting cycle and LuxGAAP.
• Ability to manage complex accounting matters alongside routine tasks.
• Experience handling multiple entities simultaneously; coordination of external service providers is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Practical experience with BOB accounting software.
• Knowledge of LuxGAAP accounting standards.
