SAP IS-U Billing & FI-CA Consultant

About the role

Sopra Steria is seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Billing and FI-CA Consultant to support and enhance its utilities business processes. The role covers solution design, configuration, testing, incident resolution and support during project implementations or ongoing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and configure SAP IS-U Billing and FI-CA, including rates, RTP, schema development, scheduling and billing execution, business partners, contract accounts, payment processing, dunning, interest calculation, clearing and reconciliation, and integration with SAP FI/CO
• Provide 2nd/3rd-level support for Billing and FI-CA issues, troubleshoot defects and performance problems, and maintain documentation such as process flows, configuration guides and test scripts
• Prepare and run unit, integration and regression tests, support UAT, and validate data migration objects for invoicing, partner accounts and balances
• Take part in SAP rollout, upgrade or migration projects, collaborate with Basis, Development, Middleware and Finance teams, and support go-live and hypercare
• Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, supporting workshops, requirement gathering and training

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a SAP IS-U Consultant
• Deep understanding of IS-U master data (connection objects, premises, installations, PoDs) and FI-CA processes in regulated markets
• Solid experience leading SAP implementations with a focus on system integration and data integrity
• Expertise in process improvement, risk assessment and change leadership in large-scale SAP environments
• Understanding of utilities business processes (electricity, gas)

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IS-U Billing (rates, schemas, RTP) and FI-CA
• Familiarity with IDE/IDEXPF (market communication)
• Ability to debug ABAP (reading logs and traces; coding not required)
• Preferred: S/4HANA for Utilities, especially S/4 FI-CA migration, and knowledge of AMI / smart metering processes
