Research Facilitator

About the role

The Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences (FHSE) at the University of Luxembourg seeks a Research Facilitator to support its interdisciplinary research community. You will help scholars identify, apply for, secure, and manage research funding, ensuring smooth internal processes and effective dissemination of results.

Key responsibilities

• Assist researchers in finding and applying for funding opportunities (EU, FNR, etc.).
• Support academics in developing competitive grant proposals.
• Identify suitable funding calls and advise on strategic fit.
• Coordinate internal review, submission, and monitoring processes.
• Collaborate with administrative teams and existing research facilitators.
• Facilitate dissemination of research activities within academia and society.
• Maintain communication across departments, the central research office, and external partners.
• Participate actively in relevant meetings and events.

Required profile

• University degree in Humanities or Social Sciences.
• Relevant experience in research facilitation and management.
• Background in project review, funding sources, monitoring, fundraising, project management and reporting.
• Proficiency with modern office software, spreadsheets and collaborative platforms.
• Team‑oriented, diplomatic, able to work in a multicultural, multidisciplinary environment.
• Fluency in English; French and/or German required, with advantage for all three languages.
