R&D Engineer – Watermist

About the role

Rotarex is seeking an R&D Engineer to lead Watermist product development from concept through industrialisation. Based in Lintgen, Luxembourg, the role will soon relocate to the new Industry 4.0 site in Bissen, offering a high‑tech environment focused on employee wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new Watermist products and improve existing solutions according to customer, market and company requirements.
• Lead assigned R&D projects through concept, design, prototyping, validation and industrialisation.
• Create, review and validate 2D technical drawings and 3D CAD models, ensuring compliance with specifications and manufacturing constraints.
• Perform engineering calculations, tolerance analysis and design evaluations to support decisions.
• Coordinate prototype manufacturing, define validation requirements and support testing with internal labs and external partners.
• Analyse test results, product failures and non‑conformities, implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Purchasing, Product Management, Sales and suppliers to guarantee manufacturability, quality and cost efficiency.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, CAD files and engineering records.

Required profile

• Ability to take ownership of product development projects from concept to industrialisation.
• Experience working cross‑functionally with production, quality, purchasing, product management, sales and suppliers.
• Strong analytical mindset for risk identification and robust engineering solutions.
