R&D Design Technician

About the role

Rotarex is seeking an R&D Design Technician to join its research and development team in Lintgen, Luxembourg. The role focuses on creating and improving mechanical products through detailed 2D and 3D design, technical documentation, and hands‑on prototype work. The position will later relocate to the new Industry 4.0 plant in Bissen.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new products and improve existing ones in collaboration with R&D engineers.
• Create 2D and 3D drawings that meet customer specifications, supplier feasibility, and internal requirements.
• Perform simple manual operations such as drilling, threading, and assembling hydraulic and electromechanical components.
• Gather material, dimension, and form data and incorporate it into designs.
• Maintain the R&D database and ensure proper documentation of design activities.
• Support purchase follow‑up for prototype parts, SAP order processing, and basic calculations.
• Participate in training to continuously improve technical skills and comply with Rotarex procedures.

Required profile

• Good technical knowledge of mechanical design and strong organisational abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary R&D team.
• Willingness to follow company procedures and attend training sessions.
