Project Manager – Satellite Telecommunications

About the role

OQ Technology is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to lead initiatives in satellite telecommunications and space. You will coordinate project activities, manage resources, and ensure timely delivery of milestones while contributing to the company’s mission of global connectivity.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare proposal documentation, defining objectives, scope, work breakdown structure, resources, and implementation approach.
• Estimate project budgets, including personnel, travel, and capital expenditures.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans with activity timelines.
• Lead project teams, ensure clear communication, and meet project due dates.
• Prioritize tasks, resolve issues, and monitor labour costs to avoid overruns.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks in coordination with technical and management teams.
• Manage supplier relationships and coordinate with internal product and quality assurance departments.
• Serve as liaison with ESA, LSA, and European Commission for various projects.
• Prepare milestone documentation, progress reports, and contract closure files.
• Lead contractual negotiations and resolve discrepancies.

Required profile

• M.Sc. in Aerospace or Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent.
• 2‑5 years of project management experience in the space industry.
• Proven experience in proposal writing and managing applications.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, budgeting, planning, and risk assessment.
• Effective decision‑making, task prioritisation, and delegation skills.
• Negotiation abilities and a proactive, urgent work style.
