Process Engineer (m/f/d) – Blast Furnace Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Process Engineer (m/f/d) to join our blast furnace process department in Luxembourg. You will support internal and external customers throughout the full project lifecycle, from initial discussions to detailed audits and operational support.

Key responsibilities

• Model and dimension blast furnace processes and equipment.
• Develop new technologies and process solutions.
• Assist project teams on technological and process aspects.
• Provide customers with optimisation advice for operation parameters and key equipment.
• Commission new blast furnaces and related equipment, including cold and hot commissioning activities.
• Plan and execute special blast furnace operations such as blow‑in, blow‑down and recoveries.
• Support implementation of new and green technologies.

Required profile

• Master’s or higher technical education in Metallurgy or a related field.
• Work experience in blast furnace operation.
• Experience with cold and hot commissioning activities.
• Fluent English with strong communication skills for customer and project interaction.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work independently.
