Private Cloud Infrastructure Architect

About the role

The Private Cloud Infrastructure Architect is responsible for designing complex, secure, and scalable private cloud solutions that align with business strategy and customer requirements. The role involves advising stakeholders, validating technical specifications, and guiding the evolution toward hybrid and public cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and validate high‑level architectures for private, hybrid, and sovereign cloud offerings.
• Define technical standards and procedures to streamline customer onboarding.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, identify risks, and ensure smooth implementation.
• Conduct technology watch on hardware and software to improve service quality and performance.
• Work with data‑centre teams to assess and enhance performance, resiliency, security, and scalability.
• Ensure compliance with vendor best practices, legal constraints (GDPR, PSF), and standards (ISO, SOC2).
• Support compliance audits and certifications.
• Partner with sales and data‑centre teams to select optimal products and maintain solution continuity.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (BAC+5) in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a similar architecture role.
• At least 5 years of technical experience in cloud infrastructure (senior level).
• Fluent in French and English.
• Eligibility for EU security clearance.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the OSI model and network fundamentals (switches/routers, VLANs, subnetting, DHCP, DNS, TLS).
• Proficiency with Linux networking tools (ip, tcpdump, dig, netstat).
• Basic understanding of Istio and Service Mesh concepts.
• Security expertise (firewall, WAF, PKI, proxy).
• Experience with storage and virtualization technologies.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes architecture (controllers, scheduler, kubelet, static pods, kube‑proxy, deployments, daemonsets, statefulsets).
• Familiarity with the Container Storage Interface (CSI).
