Plant Controlling Manager – Finance Business Partner

About the role

The Plant Controlling Manager will lead the finance controlling function for the Luxembourg manufacturing sites while also handling Group‑wide controlling duties. Reporting to the Finance Director Luxembourg and the Group CFO, the role acts as a key finance business partner to production, operations and sales.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the plant controlling function for Luxembourg manufacturing entities.
• Manage, coach and challenge a team of four controllers.
• Partner with production, operations and sales to drive cost performance and productivity.
• Monitor and analyse production costs, standard costs, variance analysis and industrial KPIs.
• Ensure accurate standard costing in a high‑SKU environment.
• Support pricing, margin calculations and profitability analysis.
• Oversee inventory accounting, including WIP, slow‑moving and obsolete stock.
• Lead the annual Group budget process, coordinate with subsidiaries and ensure data quality.
• Coordinate monthly Group financial reporting and actual‑vs‑budget analysis.
• Define Group product costing methodologies and act as a reference point.
• Contribute to SAP S/4HANA rollout projects at the international level.

• Extensive experience in plant controlling within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record in Group‑wide controlling and budgeting.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to challenge operational managers.
• Leadership experience managing a team of controllers.
• Hands‑on managerial style with a participative coaching approach.
