Pilot Cadet Program 2026

About the role

Luxair is offering an 18‑month Pilot Cadet Program starting in 2026. The programme provides comprehensive classroom instruction, simulator sessions and real‑world flight experience, fully financed by the airline. Successful cadets will progress to become commercial pilots operating Luxair’s fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Complete theoretical aviation courses covering regulations, navigation and aircraft systems.
• Participate in high‑fidelity flight simulator training to develop handling skills.
• Undertake supervised line‑training flights to gain hands‑on experience.
• Adhere to safety procedures and demonstrate sound decision‑making in all training activities.
• Collaborate with instructors and crew members to maintain professional standards.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old and a high‑school graduate (eligible for university entrance).
• Unrestricted right to live and work in the EU/EFTA.
• Clear criminal record, including no driving‑related offenses.
• Ability to obtain a valid EASA Class 1 medical certificate.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Minimum height of 156 cm and ability to swim.
