Operational Excellence Analyst – Global Operational Excellence

About the role

The Operational Excellence Analyst in Global Operational Excellence (GOX) drives data‑driven performance improvements across Amazon’s EU inbound supply chain. Working cross‑functionally with Cross Dock, Fulfillment Center Operations, Transportation, Analytics, and Planning Systems, you will own the technical analysis and automation behind Inbound Speed and Delivery Estimate Accuracy metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Own the data infrastructure for Inbound Speed and DEA reporting, building automated ETL pipelines, scheduled queries, and alerting mechanisms.
• Write advanced SQL (window functions, CTEs, recursive queries, optimization) against petabyte‑scale warehouses (Redshift, Athena) for root‑cause analysis.
• Develop Python‑based automation for data processing, anomaly detection, and reporting workflows.
• Build statistical models and simulation frameworks to quantify the impact of transportation disruptions and supply‑chain backlog.
• Design and maintain dashboards and self‑service analytical tools (QuickSight, automated reports) for stakeholders.
• Drive the process‑improvement roadmap with data‑backed proposals influencing decisions at all levels.

Required profile

• Strong technical proficiency in data extraction, transformation, and large‑scale analysis.
• Ability to translate complex findings into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
• Experience working with AWS data services (Redshift, Athena, S3, DynamoDB) and visualization platforms.
• Independent, detail‑oriented mindset with a passion for operational analytics.
