Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Rotarex is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its Engineering team in Lintgen, Luxembourg. The role will focus on technical product development, guiding mechanical systems from concept through prototyping, industrialisation and certification, and will support the upcoming relocation to a new Industry 4.0 plant in Bissen.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies, creating CAD models, detailed drawings and performing engineering calculations.
• Support prototyping and laboratory testing campaigns, including set‑up, execution, data analysis and reporting.
• Participate in risk assessments, FMEA sessions and ensure compliance with international standards and certification requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers, external partners and cross‑functional teams to secure component quality and manage approval processes.
• Drive continuous improvement by proposing innovative technical solutions and contributing to product innovation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of R&D engineering experience, preferably in mechanical design, hydraulics or fluid systems.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Mechanical design and modelling.
• Proficiency with CAD software (Siemens NX or equivalent).
• Engineering calculations for capacity, pressure drop and strength analysis.
• Laboratory testing, data acquisition and analysis.
• Knowledge of industry standards and certification processes.
• Microsoft Office 365.
