Mechanical Designer – Molds (Product Development)

About the role

Join Husky Technologies' Development‑Engineering team in Luxembourg as a Mechanical Designer focused on beverage packaging tooling. After an initial training period at the European headquarters, you will contribute to the product development process by delivering high‑quality, reliable, and cost‑effective mold designs.

Key responsibilities

• Iterate design concepts, create design selection matrices and execute designs according to standards.
• Perform system‑level design with limited guidance and produce design documents and validation plans.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams worldwide, including engineering, manufacturing, service, test and validation.
• Develop and manage complex project plans, set milestones, generate timelines and communicate status effectively.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Several years of experience in a similar mechanical design environment (advantageous).
• Strong analytical abilities to solve complex technical problems with innovative solutions.
• Good project and time‑management skills.
• Fluent communication in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD applications.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack‑up analysis.
• Experience with virtual simulation tools (advantageous).
• Ability to calculate design parameters.
