Mechanical Designer – Molds (Product Development)

About the role

After an initial training period at our European headquarters in Dudelange, you will join the Development‑Engineering team responsible for beverage‑packaging tooling. The role focuses on providing engineering support throughout the product‑development cycle, delivering high‑quality, reliable and cost‑effective mold designs on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Iterate design concepts and produce a design‑selection matrix based on the project scope.
• Execute detailed designs applying company standards and perform system‑level design with limited guidance.
• Prepare comprehensive design documentation and validation plans.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams worldwide, including manufacturing, testing and validation groups.
• Develop and manage complex project plans, set milestones, track timelines and communicate status effectively.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Several years of experience in mechanical design for molds or related tooling (advantageous).
• Strong knowledge of CAD tools and ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Proficiency in calculating design parameters and solid project‑time management skills.
• Good command of English for clear communication.

Required skills

• Advanced CAD application usage.
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack‑up analysis.
• Experience with virtual simulation tools (advantage).
