Managing Director – Luxembourg Office

About the role

The client is a trust and fiduciary services provider seeking a Managing Director to lead its Luxembourg office. Reporting to the Group, the role combines strategic leadership, business development and operational oversight to serve high‑net‑worth individuals, family offices and corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the Luxembourg entity’s strategy in line with Group objectives.
• Lead business development initiatives and build strong relationships with key external stakeholders.
• Oversee a complex client portfolio, ensuring exceptional service delivery and timely escalation.
• Drive commercial negotiations, including fee setting and high‑level client engagements.
• Maintain best‑in‑class governance, AML, compliance and regulatory standards.
• Monitor and optimise financial performance – budgeting, cash‑flow, revenue collection and reporting.
• Enhance operational efficiencies and lead the Luxembourg office team.

Required profile

• Proven executive‑level leadership experience in trust, fiduciary or regulated professional services.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of business growth and client relationship development.
• In‑depth knowledge of Luxembourg regulatory frameworks, including AML, compliance and governance.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills within an international matrix environment.
• Solid financial expertise covering budget oversight, billing cycles and reporting.
• Hands‑on, pragmatic leadership style balancing strategic direction and operational execution.
• Experience in full HR oversight and team development.
