Manager, Data Management Oversight

About the role

PayPal Europe is looking for a Manager, Data Management Oversight to lead the build‑out and operation of data management and reporting frameworks across its European entities. The role ensures effective risk data aggregation, data governance and risk reporting in line with second‑line‑of‑defence requirements and regulatory standards such as BCBS 239, EBA guidelines and ECB expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain data management and reporting frameworks for the European region.
• Oversee risk data aggregation processes and ensure data quality and consistency.
• Drive data governance initiatives and enforce regulatory reporting standards (BCBS 239, EBA, ECB).
• Collaborate with business owners, technology teams and the CRO function to operationalise the data management framework.
• Produce and validate risk reports for senior management and regulators.
• Monitor compliance with second‑line‑of‑defence requirements and address gaps.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on leadership experience in data management, risk data aggregation or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as BCBS 239, EBA guidelines and ECB expectations.
• Experience working within a CRO or risk‑management environment in a multinational setting.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
